Leather Ballet Shoes Leather Ballet Shoes


Shoes are supplied with elastic - ribbons optional extra (see Ballet Accessories to order).

To fit elastic or ribbon, place shoe flat and fold back of shoe down on inner sole. The folds at the sides of the shoe mark the position for fixing. Place the elastic/ribbon at that position, on a slight angle forward. Stitch to the inside of the shoe, taking care not to stitch through the drawstring. Elastic should be trimmed to fit snugly across the instep. Ribbons should be tied to cross on instep, wound around the ankle and tied with a knot behind the inner ankle bone.

Shoes usually fit 1.5-2 sizes larger than street shoe size. However, leather ballet shoes will stretch approximately ½ a size.
